O Fluminense contratou dois zagueiros para esta temporada, o que deixou a equipe com seis opções para o setor. As chegadas de Henrique e Renato Chaves acirraram a concorrência pela titularidade, e Marlon, antes titular absoluto, passou a alternar entre o time principal e o reserva. Agora, com um novo treinador no comando, ele – que chegou a ser barrado por Eduardo Baptista, foi titular nos últimos jogos do Carioca e poupado na Primeira Liga – segue trabalhando para se consolidar na vaga.

– O que eu tenho observado é que ele (Levir Culpi) gosta de jogar com as linha altas. Estou tranquilo, à disposição. Só quero trabalhar, dar o meu melhor para ajudar o grupo. Neste domingo, em Volta Redonda, o Flu medirá forças com o Botafogo, na primeira rodada da Taça Guanabara (segundo turno do Carioca). Uma semana depois, vai enfrentar o Flamengo, pela mesma competição, em São Paulo, no Pacaembu. O fato de estar fora da cidade do Rio de Janeiro não é incômodo para Marlon.

– Para mim não tem o menor problema. Eu só quero estar atuando. Os jogadores estão tranquilos e cientes. Temos que encarar da melhor maneira possível, sempre buscando a vitória para o Fluminense – ponderou.

Além de Marlon, Henrique e Renato Chaves, o elenco conta ainda com Gum, Elivélton e Nogueira para a defesa.

Despite Bertrand Traore’s best efforts, Aston Villa suffered their first Premier League home defeat since the 3-1 loss to West Ham on Sunday as they came up short against Leicester City.

The 2-1 defeat to Leicester, courtesy of early strikes from James Maddison and Harvey Barnes in the first half, made it two losses from their last four fixtures for Dean Smith’s side.

Villa lacked any real ambition and courage without the injured Jack Grealish, as the statistics make for grim reading. Smith’s side could only muster two shots to Leicester’s seven on target in the entire game, which is a far cry from the eight they managed against Arsenal.

Grealish’s absence would be a big miss for any side, but it is his confidence in front of goal Villa miss the most when he is absent as, for the most part, they looked rather lost for ideas this afternoon without the 25-year-old.

However, although far from perfect, Traore was one of the very few who could have left Villa Park with his head held high.

Although Villa were torn apart by Leicester’s blistering counter-attacks, the Villans still found some of their own joy down the right flank with Traore.

The 55-cap Burkina Faso international had initially been kept rather quiet by a dogged defence but burst into life shortly after the break, latching onto a cross from John McGinn before rifling the ball into the back of the net.

With a SofaScore match rating of 7.1 for his efforts, the right winger ranked the third-highest out of the entire Villa squad, with only Matt Targett and Ahmed Elmohamady scoring higher, yet he was the only true silver lining to take away from the defeat.

No player from either side completed more dribbles successfully than Traore (3), including Targett and Elmohamady, with the 25-year-old showing a willingness to try and push the Villans up the pitch despite being pegged back in their own half for large chunks of the game.

BirminghamLive also graded the former Saints defender a squad-high 7/10 for his display, but it was the goalscorer who should earn the plaudits instead.

Of all his teammates, only Trezeguet could muster the same amount of shots on target as Traore, who accounted for 50% of the team’s total shots on target, as the likes of McGinn and Ollie Watkins struggled to get a foothold in the game.

In terms of the statistics, the winger was performing at a level far above his usual standards, as he averages just 1.2 dribbles per 90 in the Premier League while also winning more ground duels (7) than his season’s average of 2.6 per game, via SofaScore.

He also made two tackles, that being better than his average of 0.6 per game, whilst he wasn’t dribbled past at all, which shows that he worked hard to win the ball back and try to set his side on the front foot.

Traore may have lost possession 16 times – the third-worst of any player on the pitch – but that merely showed his desire to try and spring a reaction after going behind so early in the match.

Smith has come to rely on Grealish as his main creative asset, so he will have been secretly pleased to see the former Chelsea star step up to the plate and impress on the wing in his absence, even despite the 2-1 defeat.

كشفت صحيفة “آس” الإسبانية، موقف ثنائي فريق برشلونة، جوردي ألبا وعثمان ديمبلي، من اللعب مع النادي الكتالوني أمام إلتشي بالدوري الإسباني.

برشلونة يُلاقي نظيره إلتشي، مساء اليوم السبت، في تمام الساعة السابعة والنصف مساءً بتوقيت القاهرة، الثامنة والنصف بتوقيت مكة المُكرمة.

وتُقام المباراة على ملعب “كامب نو” معقل النادي الكتالوني، ضمن فعاليات الجولة الثامنة عشر من الدوري الإسباني.

وحسب الصحيفة الإسبانية، فإن ألبا تدرب بشكل جيد وتعافي من إصابته وبدا صاحب الـ”32″ عامًا جاهزًا للعب في مباراة إلتشي مساء اليوم بعد تعافيه من الإصابة.

جوردي ألبا كان يُعاني من إصابة في أوتار الركبة بالساق اليمنى، وذلك بعد إصابته أمام بايرن ميونخ في ختام دور مجموعات دوري أبطال أوروبا.

وقالت الصحيفة إن الدولي الفرنسي عثمان ديمبلي، شارك في التدريبات الجماعية، ومن المتوقع أن يكون جاهزًا للعب بطريقة طبيعية مع النادي الكتالوني مساء السبت.

يُذكر أن برشلونة يتواجد في المرتبة الثامنة بسلم ترتيب الدوري الإسباني بـ24 نقطة، بينما إلتشي يحتل المرتبة السادسة عشر بـ15 نقطة.

أكد أحمد حسام ميدو لاعب ومدرب الزمالك السابق، أن لاعبي الأهلي يتمتعون بإصرار وطاقة إيجابية تمكنهم من تحقيق أهدافهم، حتى ولو في اللحظات الأخيرة.

وقال ميدو في تصريحات تلفزيونية بفضائية “الريمونتادا”: عبر فضائية “المحور”: “عندما كان الأهلي متأخرًا بهدف، كان الجميع يؤمن بعودة الأحمر”.

وأكد: “بعد مباراة اليوم وتفكير كثير بيني وبين نفسي توصلت إلى أن السبب الرئيسي هو قانون الطاقة الإيجابية، لاعبي الأهلي وجمهوره والمناخ الذي يخلقوه في الملعب يجعل الهدف الذي يلعبون عليه يتحقق”.

وأردف: “(أقسم بالله الكلام اللي بقوله عِلم)، اقرأوا عن قانون جذب الطاقة، أنا مؤمن أن هذا هو الفارق بين الأهلي وبين الأندية الأخرى بما فيهم الزمالك، هم يعلمون كيف يحرزون الأهداف في الدقائق الأخيرة”.

واستكمل: “لاعبو الرجاء أصحاب عقلية صغيرة في كرة القدم، والدليل على كلامي لقطة محمود بنحليب مهاجم الرجاء وهو ينظر إلى الساعة ويرفض استكمال هجمة مرتدة، لأنه يريد البحث عن إهدار الوقت”.

وأتم: “أشاهد كرة القدم منذ زمن لكن لم أر في حياتي لاعبين يهدرون الوقت من الدقيقة 50 و60، لا أفهم عقلية لاعبي الرجاء، وهذه ليست عقلية فريق كبير”.

Ahead of the second leg of their Europa League Round of 32 clash with Wolfsberger AC tonight, Spurs boss Jose Mourinho delivered a positive update in his pre-game press conference, where he revealed that both Serge Aurier and Giovani Lo Celso were nearing a comeback.

On Aurier, he said: “Serge is almost there, I believe for the weekend and if not the weekend, Fulham next week, but Serge is coming.”

And on Lo Celso, Mourinho added: “Gio is not coming back, but coming back to training with the team, which is a big step and a very important one. Even today, he was training for the first time, of course, with lots of protection in relation to what he could or could not do.

“It’s good news. It’s maybe a couple of weeks to play, but let’s say if everything goes well, we are on the countdown.”

Mourinho will be delighted

Given the run of form Spurs find themselves in at the minute – six defeats in eight – it will be a welcome boost to have two players back capable of making an impact for the rest of the campaign.

At right-back, it is becoming increasingly clear that Mourinho does not trust £15m summer signing Matt Doherty and reports have surfaced, via ESPN, suggesting that his future past the summer could be in serious doubt.

Indeed, Aurier has usurped the Irishman despite all of his own worries. The Spurs boss revealed during their Amazon ‘All or Nothing’ docuseries that he was scared of the former PSG star’s defending, so it speaks volumes that he’s started more times (13) than Doherty (nine).

Japhet Tanganga was preferred to the 29-year-old on Sunday, too.

Whilst Lo Celso is capable of injecting much-needed influence further up the pitch. As we’ve seen in recent matches, Mourinho has given chances to wide duo Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura in the no.10 role, with Tanguy Ndombele playing a little deeper.

This surely means the Argentine playmaker could slot right back in, eventually.

On the face of it, a return of only one goal and one assist in the league isn’t anything to scream about but Lo Celso’s importance shouldn’t be understated.

He sits third to the impressive partnership of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son for key passes per game (0.8), which means he’s creating more chances than everyone but Spurs’ two biggest goal threats.

Whilst of all players to play ten or more league games this term, Aurier (0.24) and Lo Celso (0.21) are only behind Kane for expected assists per 90 minutes, via Understat, only reinforcing their importance to this side picking up results.

In the two games without Aurier, Spurs have scored just once, whilst since the turn of the year, the north London outfit have only surpassed two goals in one game on two occasions, which isn’t good enough for a side that was sitting top of the table in mid-December.

Clearly, the return of the pair will be a major boost for Spurs, and that should ultimately have Mourinho absolutely delighted.

Agora, quase quatro anos depois, o atacante está próximo de alcançar uma marca que significa o dobro do que ele imaginava quando vestiu a camisa tricolor pela primeira vez. Se entrar em campo contra o Flamengo, domingo, no Pacaembu, completará 100 jogos pelo clube.

– Muito importante. Quando eu estava na base, sonhava em vir para o profissional. Quando eu cheguei, sonhava em fazer 50 jogos. E domingo, se jogar, chegarei a 100. Ficarei muito feliz – comentou o jogador.

O clássico – válido pela Taça Guanabara – voltará a ser disputado em São Paulo pela segunda vez na história. A primeira foi há 74 anos, em 1942. Naquela ocasião, o duelo terminou sem vencedor nem gols. Justamente por se tratar de algo raro, o atacante considera que a partida terá um “tempero” especial. Ainda assim, ele não esconde a vontade de atuar no principal palco do Rio de Janeiro.

– Com certeza, ainda mais se o Fluminense ganhar do Flamengo. Mas é uma coisa estranha. Maracanã faz muita falta – destacou.

Desde que integrou o time principal, Marcos Junior só não esteve no Tricolor em 2014, quando, emprestado, defendeu o Vitória. Neste temporada, ele participou de dez partidas oficiais pelo clube das Laranjeiras (oito pelo Campeonato Carioca e duas pela Primeira Liga). Ao todo, soma 13 gols pelo Flu na carreira.

ووفقًا لصحيفة “عكاظ” السعودية، فإنها علمت من مصادر داخل الأهلي السعودي باعتزامهم التعاقد مع لاعب الزمالك أحمد سيد زيزو في يناير المقبل.

وكان زيزو قد نجح في تسجيل 5 أهداف مع الزمالك في الدوري خلال الموسم الحالي حتى الآن.

يذكر أن زيزو قد انضم لنادي الزمالك في عام 2018، قادمًا من صفوف موريرينسي البرتغالي.

Many Everton fans have been left to buzz at some comments made by Carlo Ancelotti on the future of Richarlison and whether he will stay at Goodison Park.

As relayed by the Liverpool Echo, the Italian boss has claimed that the former Watford star will stay at the Merseyside club for as long as the gaffer does.

This has come as such a welcome relief to several Toffees supporters given just how important he has been to the team over the years.

The Brazil international has scored no fewer than 40 goals and made a further nine assists in 105 games in total over all competitions over three consecutive terms so far since arriving at the Blues (Transfermarkt), and at just 23 years of age, is a precious asset to have.

Nonetheless, it looks as if he is going to stay at Everton at least for the near future, with Ancelotti under contract at Goodison until 2024.

Capitão do Vasco, o zagueiro Rodrigo é conhecido por ser um marcador duro com seus adversários. Provocador, o camisa 3 venceu a maioria dos duelos contra os atacantes adversários nos clássicos do ano passado. Neste ano, no entanto, um jovem lhe deu bastante trabalho: Ribamar. O botafoguense encarou um Rodrigo com dores no ombro em partida na primeira fase do Carioca e deu trabalho. Se depender do Xerife vascaíno, dessa vez será diferente.

– Não tem diferença. Ele me incomodou bastante no outro jogo, mas agora vou incomodar mais ele. Eu estava com um problema no ombro, joguei defendendo o ombro. Foi muito difícil. Meu jogo é de contato, marcando o adversário no corpo. Foi difícil levar até o final. Agora não vai ser fácil pra ele não – disse.

Adversário do Vasco neste domingo, o Botafogo é um dos rivais mais complicados segundo o zagueiro Rodrigo. Para o camisa 3, o estilo de jogo parecido e o comandante alvinegro Ricardo Gomes fazem com que este jogo seja uma partida muito estudada:

– Nós fizemos um jogo bem seguro. Iguala um pouco porque nosso time briga bastante pra ter a bola novamente. Por isso as vezes fica um jogo truncado. Temos um poder de marcação forte e vejo isso no Botafogo também. O treinador deles conhece muito bem o Vasco. Ele sabe mais ou menos como funciona o Vasco. É um adversário que estudamos muito. Jorginho procura tudo nos minimos detalhes. É um adversário que nos dá muito trabalho e respeitamos bastante.
