Leeds United will face their next Premier League challenge as they host West Ham at Elland Road this evening. Marcelo Bielsa has already revealed his starting lineup amid a double injury blow which sees both centre-backs Robin Koch and Diego Llorente sidelined.

The backline must be on-form tonight as the Whites vie for three points, but they have a good chance of keeping the Irons at bay as they will be without attacking threat Michail Antonio.

One man who has a big opportunity to prove himself is Illan Meslier, following some unfair criticism.

Meslier can make big statement vs West Ham

Mark Lawrenson recently told BBC Sport that he “wasn’t convinced” by the Frenchman’s ability in between the sticks. Whilst he may have had a few sub-par performances this season, to doubt his skills as a goalkeeper seems unfair given his efforts so far.

Meslier helped Leeds win the Championship last campaign and secure promotion after 16 long years out of England’s top flight. Adapting to the demand and the intensity of the Premier League has been tough for Marcelo Bielsa and his team, but they are currently doing better than the likes of Sheffield United, who enjoyed strong finish in the league last season.

With Antonio out of David Moyes’ squad, Meslier won’t have to worry about facing the clinical striker. He will still need to put in a solid display but he can take the glory for himself if Leeds keep a clean sheet.

With both Koch and Llorente out, the £20,000 per week youngster has a huge chance to hit back at his critics and prove that he is the man Bielsa can rely on moving forwards.

وقامت لجنة المسابقات بالاتحاد والتي يشرف عليها محمد فتحي عضو مجلس الإدارة ويترأسها أحمد كامل برفع توصيات لمجلس الإدارة بشأن عدم حضور فريق الرجال لنادي الاتحاد السكندري لاستلام ميداليات المركز الثاني.

وقام فريق المرتبط بنادي الاتحاد بالصعود لمنصات التتويج واستلام الميداليات الخاصة به بينما لم يحضر جميع عناصر فريق الرجال من لاعبين وجهاز فني وجهاز إداري.

وقد وافق مجلس الإدارة على توصيات لجنة المسابقات والتي جاءت كالتالي:-

توقيع غرامة مالية قدرها 3000 جنيه على كل لاعب مسجل بصحيفة التسجيل في المباراة وعددهم 12 لاعبًا.

توقيع غرامة مالية قدرها 3000 جنيه على الجهاز الإداري والطبي وعددهم 8 أفراد.

توقيع غرامة مالية قدرها 5000 جنيه على المدير الفني لنادي الاتحاد.

يتم إيقاف جميع اللاعبين والجهاز الفني والإداري بنادي الاتحاد السكندري لحين سداد الغرامة المقررة.

يرى بول سكولز أسطورة مانشستر يونايتد، أن مايكل كاريك المدير الفني المؤقت للفريق الآن، كان يجب أن يرحل مع أوليه جونار سولشاير المُقال.

مانشستر يونايتد أعلن إقالة سولشاير يوم الأحد الماضي، بعد 3 سنوات من توليه قيادة الشياطين الحمر، وذلك بعد الخسارة برباعية من واتفورد يوم السبت، وتعيين كاريك مدربًا مؤقتًا حتى نهاية الموسم.

مايكل كاريك عمل مدربًا مساعدًا لـ جوزيه مورينيو قبل أن يبقى في نفس المنصب مع أوليه جونار سولشاير، الذي خلف البرتغالي في تدريب اليونايتد.

وقال سكولز في تصريحاته بقناة “BTsports” البريطانية: “نفس الأشخاص الذين يديرون الفريق، نفس الأشخاص يتحملون مسؤولية كبيرة كل أسبوع لوضع الفريق على أرض الملعب”.

وأضاف: “قبل أربعة أسابيع وتحديدًا في مباراة ليفربول، كانت تلك الفترة التي علمنا فيها أن أولي سيرحل، كان واضحًا ذلك، لكن كان على الأشخاص الآخرين مثل كاريك وماكينا الرحيل معه، لا يمكن استمرارهما لأن ذلك يعني بأنك لم تقم بأي شيء”.

واختتم: “لقد كانا جزءًا من فريق سولشاير التدريبي، وثق بهما أولي كل أسبوع لإعداد الفريق، وقد خذلا النادي واللاعبين بقدر ما فعل سولشاير، ولا أفهم سبب استمرارهما”.

What was the word?

According to The Sun on Sunday back in October (4th, page 59), the Owls were considering a move for out-of-work winger Andre Green, who is still without a club.

The Athletic’s Gregg Evans has since provided an update on the former Aston Villa graduate, he told fans in a recent mailbag:

“It’s a case of waiting for the right club. Green has been a little unfortunate with previous loan spells that haven’t quite worked out for him. He’s had a couple of injuries that knocked him off track, too.

“He would also likely need to take a significant pay cut to drop into the Championship or League One, particularly given the COVID-19 situation means clubs are tightening their belts.”

So should Pulis be eyeing him up?

Squad depth option

It is thought that the 62-year-old is wanting at least four new faces in at Hillsborough before the end of January, and there are certainly plenty of gaps to plug – none more so than upfront.

Only Jordan Rhodes is an out-and-out centre-forward.

But Pulis ought to consider his squad depth on the wings too, as it is only really Kadeem Harris and Adam Reach capable of producing regularly.

In reality, loan star Jacob Murphy was never replaced by Garry Monk in the summer, and now they’re being made to pay for it. One injury to either of the aforementioned pair would spell serious trouble.

Green may have been out of the game for a while, as well as not doing himself any favours at Preston last season, but could be well worth the punt as it won’t cost Dejphon Chansiri a penny – a good thing given the situation regarding players being paid on time.

He’s racked up 55 appearances in the Championship, where he has delivered four goals and two assists, via Transfermarkt.

During a spell at Charlton Athletic at the end of last term, Green’s striking partner Lyle Taylor lauded the forward as a “real handful.”

It could be well worth taking a bargain punt on the free-agent ahead of January.

– É uma emoção muito grande conquistar um título com essa importância para o Flamengo. Ainda mais em cima do Corinthians. Foi incrível – destacou o goleiro.

David Sullivan must boost Robert Snodgrass out of West Ham United in the January transfer window amid claims the midfielder may be sold as David Moyes looks to improve his squad.

What’s the word?

According to The Telegraph, Moyes is keen to take his Hammers squad to the next level with the addition of a new forward in the winter market while looking for a back-up left-back.

Moyes is keen to avoid overloading Aaron Cresswell after losing Arthur Masuaku following knee surgery, and is likely to target the loan market in search of a suitable stand-in.

West Ham are not expected to go crazy in the January sales but will keep an ear to the ground for deals they consider to be good value, with Said Benrahma’s late summer arrival seen to have eased any pressing concerns.

Outgoings are not thought to be vast, either, with Snodgrass the sole member of the West Ham first-team to be seen as facing an uncertain immediate future after featuring for just four minutes of Premier League football so far this season.

Snodgrass made his campaign debut as a last-minute substitute in the Irons’ 3-3 draw at Tottenham Hotspur in October, before two brief cameos in the closing stages of last month’s 2-1 win at Leeds United and 1-1 draw with London rivals Crystal Palace.

Snodgrass had been touted for an uncertain future in claret and blue in recent weeks by West Ham insider ExWHUemployee, who claimed the east London outfit may consider loan and permanent offers with his £40,000-per-week contract set to expire in the summer.

No concrete bids are believed to have fallen West Ham’s way as of yet, but a winter exit is surely a must for Sullivan to orchestrate to prevent being further bled dry by an unwanted player Moyes has struggled to find space for.

Celtic may yet revisit Snodgrass’ availability after seeing a late bid fall short in the previous window for a midfielder who former Hammers and Hoops forward Frank McAvennie lauds for being “a fighter”.

Moyes has not needed the 33-year-old’s determination thus far this season outside of the Carabao Cup, where the gritty 28-cap Scotland international was able to score twice and provide an assist in three appearances.

His potentially final goal in claret and blue came against Everton to avoid a total obliteration of his market value, with Snodgrass now seen to be worth just £3.5m as he labours into the final six months of his contract with a whimper.

وقال جريشة في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر فضائية “إي تي سي”: “التحكيم المصري يُصرف عليه بشكل جيد وإعداد الحكام، وما ينقص التحكيم المصري عدالة لجنة الحكام باتحاد الكرة”.

وتابع: “محمد عادل اسم على مسمى ويحاول أن يعدل دائمًا في جميع المباريات، ولو أخطأ بسبب تصريح الاحتواء فالخطأ الأكبر يقع على عصام عبدالفتاح رئيس لجنة الحكام”.
