أعلن المدافع الإيطالي جيانلوكا مانشيني، لاعب نادي اي سي روما، إصابته بـ فيروس كورونا المُستجد “كوفيد -19”, قبل قليل، وذلك قبل يومين من مباراة إي سي ميلان في السيري آ.

وكتب مانشيني عبر حسابه الرسمي بموقع التواصل الاجتماعي “إنستجرام”: “مرحبًا بالجميع، لقد أثبتت إصابتي بـ كوفيد – 19”.

وأضاف: “لقد دخلت الحجر الصحي، أشعر أنني بحالة جيدة، وأقوم بالفعل بالعد التنازلي للأيام حتى أعود للعب مرة أخرى، أراكم قريبًا، فورزا روما!”.

روما يحل ضيفًا على ميلان، مساء الاثنين القادم، على ملعب “سان سيرو”، ضمن لقاءات الجولة الرابعة من الدوري الإيطالي.

Arsenal are reportedly lining up a move for ex-Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Veretout.

What’s the story?

According to French outlet Le Foot, as reported by TEAMTalk, Arsenal are eyeing Veretout as a possible replacement for the outgoing Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey of course will join Juventus at the end of this campaign, despite being one of the Gunners’ better performers for most of the season.

The north Londoners tried to sign Veretout way back in 2014, and the report claims they are now considering a €30m (£25.9m) move.

Simply not good enough

There is no doubt Veretout has improved since flopping at Aston Villa. The all-action Frenchman has become an important part of an improving Fiorentina side, scoring 15 times in 68 games from defensive midfield.

At 26, he is extremely intelligent, reads the game well and sprays the ball around wonderfully.

However, this is a player who has only ever played in England once, and he was truly awful, and for every Mohamed Salah that comes back to the Premier League and turns his career around, there are a hundred more who don’t.

In 25 Premier League showings for Villa, Veretout failed to find a goal and managed just 1.3 tackles per game, an extremely low rate considering his side were dominated in nearly every match that season, a season that ended in relegation.

He is versatile enough to play Granit Xhaka’s position or Ramsey’s, but despite his improvement he is nowhere near the quality of Ramsey, particularly in attacking areas.

Quite simply, Veretout will not budge Xhaka or Lucas Torreira from the base of midfield and he is just not good enough to walk into the starting XI and replace Ramsey.

Arsenal fans better hope this is a late April Fools joke, because if £25.9m on this deal is what the club sees as good business then it’s going to be a very long summer.

وأكمل: “محمد النني استبعاده خلال الفترة الماضية فنيًا وليس لأي سبب شخص”.

وبسؤاله هل اشترط محمد النني اللعب أساسيًا مع منتخب مصر؟، أجاب: “ليس هناك أي لاعب يشترط على منتخب مصر اللعب أساسيًا، ومحمد النني من بين المرشحين لمعسكر المنتخب”.

جدير بالذكر أن منتخب مصر يتواجد في المجموعة السابعة بتصفيات كأس أمم إفريقيا رفقة توجو وكينيا وجزر القمر.

كشف محمد الخولي نائب رئيس المصري البورسعيدي، عن وجود مفاوضات غير رسمية مع الزمالك بشأن بيع محمود وادي مهاجم الفريق خلال الفترة المقبلة.

Even the most pessimistic of Toffees would be willing to admit that the likelihood of another three points on Saturday afternoon is very high indeed.

The Royal Blues have looked like world-beaters in their last three matches – dispatching of Chelsea at Goodison Park, West Ham United away and then Arsenal on home turf.

This unlikely run has not only cooled the heat on their new manager but also thrust them firmly back into the race for seventh place and to be the best of the rest in the English top-flight.

However, it’s not just the fact that maximum points on the banks of the river Thames could take them above Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City and into seventh that means a triumph would be a big statement to all the other Premier League sides vying for what could be the final European spot.

As aforementioned, Silva’s men enter this weekend on the back of two fairly recent “Big Six” scalps but to be the best of the rest, you have to be able to beat the teams around and below you as well.

By winning on Saturday, the Toffees would be showing they can be consistent against the smaller outfits as well as upsetting the bigger ones, thus staking a late claim for that all-important seventh position with the likes of Burnley and Crystal Palace, as well as Manchester United and Tottenham, still to play.

السلطات الصحية المحلية في ألمانيا، كانت وافقت على عودة الجماهير بنسبة 20%، وفي 3 أكتوبر الماضي، وشهدت مباراة بوروسيا دورتموند وفرايبورج حضورًا جماهيريًا بالفعل، حيث تواجد 11500 مُتفرج في الملعب الذي يتسع لـ81 ألف شخص.

ولكن لم يتمكن نادي بايرن ميونخ من الحصول على موافقة من السلطات على وجود حضور جماهيري، بعد تواجدهم في مباراة السوبر الأوروبي ضد إشبيلية.

A number of Liverpool fans have called on their club to offer experienced professional James Milner a new contract at Anfield.

As it stands, Milner will see his deal with the Reds expire in June 2020. At that point, the former Leeds United youngster will be 34 years of age.

However, it seems that the majority of Liverpool supporters want the 61-time England international to pen a new contract due to his excellent form this season.

Milner has not always be in Liverpool’s starting XI, but has filled in at full-back when needed and does not give anything less than 100% when called upon.

It would not be a surprise to see Jurgen Klopp’s side move for a new midfielder in this summer’s transfer window.

The club’s fans are clear when it comes to Milner, though, with many calling on the Reds to sort out a fresh deal.

Everton have finally found a proven goalscorer! Danny Welbeck would give the Goodison faithful what they’ve been calling for ever since Romelu Lukaku left in 2017.

Cenk Tosun and Sandro Ramirez have simply not been good enough in since arriving in Merseyside and despite Richarlison looking like a world-beater at the start of the season, even he’s mostly quiet nowadays too. Indeed, Welbeck would make the Toffees forget those players existed if he came in during the summer.

The Mirror claimed on Friday Everton, West Ham and Newcastle are all interested in the 28-year-old ahead of the summer and Unai Emery wants to give him a new contract. Everton are right to be sniffing around because he’s a finisher and that’s exactly what they need.

His career has been interrupted by injuries over the last few years, but looking at his international record since 2011 proves he finishes chance better than most. He’s scored 16 goals in 42 appearances for England over that period.

His contract is due to run out in the summer and so he could be available on a free. That’d be ideal for Everton because it’d mean they can spend their money elsewhere and still secure the number nine they’ve desperately needed.

There’s no doubt Everton can reach Europe without a real finisher in their side. Welbeck can be the man to rack up 20 goals a season if he’s finally given that first-choice spot he’s never had since breaking through at Manchester United.

تحدث شوقي غريب المدير الفني لمنتخب مصر الأولمبي، عن آخر مستجدات ضم محمد صلاح المحترف في صفوف ليفربول الإنجليزي لقائمة الفراعنة بأولمبياد طوكيو بالعام المقبل، وكذلك محمد النني نجم آرسنال.

ويلتقي منتخب مصر الأولمبي أمام كوريا الجنوبية يوم 12 نوفمبر الجاري، ثم البرازيل يوم 17 من الشهر ذاته ضمن خطة الإعداد لأولمبياد طوكيو.

وقال شوقي غريب في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة النهار: “سعيد جدًا بمواجهة منتخب بحجم البرازيل، منتخب كبير وكل عناصرهم محترفة في أوروبا”.

وأكمل: “دائمًا لا نترك شىء للظروف ونرتب أمورنا منذ فترة، نخاطب ليفربول لأنهم أصحاب القرار في الموافقة على ضم محمد صلاح من عدمه”.

وعن موقف صلاح من أجل ضمه، أجاب: “محمد صلاح لاعب كبير وعالمي ويزيد قوة لأي فريق، نيمار انضم لمنتخب البرازيل في أولمبياد 2016، الاستعانة بصلاح لا تقل عن استعانة البرازيل بنيمار في الأولمبياد من قبل”.

وتابع: “محمد صلاح يزيد المنتخب قوة، ونأمل تواجده معنا، الأمر ليس في أيدينا ولكن في يد ليفربول، وسيكون هناك تنسيق مع الفريق الإنجليزي”.

وعن فرص محمد محمود وكريم نيدفيد (لاعبا الأهلي)، أجاب: “فرصة الثنائي كبيرة للتواجد معنا في الأولمبياد، وعندما يكون لدي اثنين بأهميتهم ويشاركوا في المباريات الودية والدولية لا أقدر تجاهلهم عنصرين بهذه الكفاءة والمشاركة أهم”.
