Os mandantes até abriram o placar com Kieza, mas viu o atacante e Jean Carlos, seu camisa 10, saírem lesionados ainda na primeira etapa. Para piorar, os visitantes foram melhores na segunda etapa e conseguiram o empate, que ameaça a liderança pernambucana.

O Náutico continua líder da Série B, mas agora tem 30 pontos, cinco a mais que o Coritiba, vice-líder, que tem dois jogos a menos. Enquanto isso, o Brusque ficou na 8ª colocação com 20. Na próxima partida, o Timbu enfrenta o próprio Coxa, na sexta-feira (30) às 20h (horário de Brasília), no Couto Pereira. Já o Quadricolor entra em campo um dia depois, quando recebeu o Confiança, às 21h.

Náutico abre o placar, mas perde referências

O Náutico já começou com tudo no campo de ataque e logo no primeiro minuto, Jean Carlos cobrou falta na área e Matheus Trindade testou para fora. Enquanto o Brusque apareceu com perigo com jogada de Thiago Alagoano. O atacante passou para Garcez aparecer livre e chutar em cima de Alex Alves. Logo depois, o meia voltou a aparecer, mas desta vez, em chute de fora da área, que parou novamente no goleiro pernambucano.

Mas, quem abriu o placar foram os mandantes e com artilheiro. Vinicius acertou belo passe para Kieza mandar para o fundo das redes. Pouco depois do tento, o atacante saiu lesionado, assim como Jean Carlos, anteriormente. Logo o Quadricolor foi tomando gosto pelo campo ofensivo e Thiago Alagoano chegou a empatar, mas foi marcado impedimento do camisa 10.

Esfriou no Recife

No lance seguinte, Bryan apareceu no ataque, tirou a marcação e chutou forte, para Zé Carlos intervir. Em seguida, o duelo ficou menos quente, com muitos escanteios, principalmente para os mandantes, mas sem grandes chances. Até os 46′,quando Vinicius acertou mais um belo passe, agora para Paiva, mas Zé Carlos tirou quase em cima da linha e impediu o segundo tento do Timbu.

Olha o empate

Em noite de garçom, Vinicius lançou Marciel, com chances de abrir vantagem no placar, mas o meia bateu por cima. Aos 17′, o Brusque voltou ao ataque com Garcez, o meia tirou a marcação e chutou firme, para Alex Alves defender. Mas, o goleiro pernambucano não impediu o Éverton Alemão, que após cruzamento na medida de Airton, empatou o confronto nos Aflitos.

Com substituições, o duelo ganhou mais em força física, em contrapartida, os lances de perigo ficaram escassos, com muita briga no meio-campo. O Brusque ficou mais com a posse de bola, mas faltou capricho no passe final.

​Aos 41′, após ótimo lançamento para Alex Ruan, o goleiro Alex Alves apareceu como um libero para impedir o domínio do atleta adversário. Logo depois, Fillipe Souto tentou chute de longe, que passou perto. O Náutico caiu tanto de rendimento na segunda etapa, que ao final, Hélio dos Anjos surtou e cobrou intensamente os seus jogadores.

However, there’s no doubt that the England international has an abundance of quality, boasting a record of 12 titles throughout his career.

This season, the tricky winger has had to settle for a decrease in game time, but he’s still provided a respectable output of seven goals and four assists in the Premier League.

Even today, although he’s started just 21 league matches, he’s still valued relatively highly, three times more than one current first-team ace.

Chilwell’s early Chelsea career

In the summer of 2020, Chelsea’s search for a brand new long-term left-back led them to Ben Chilwell, who joined the club from Leicester City for a fee of £50m during the Frank Lampard regime.

The England international signed a five-year deal, and according to Capology, his salary stands at a huge £200k-per-week, the joint-third highest wage in the squad.

Chilwell’s first season at Stamford Bridge saw him play 27 times in the Premier League, picking up eight goal contributions, which still remains his best attacking output of his career.

However, the following season was riddled with injuries, playing just seven times in the league and sparking a never-ending injury cycle that haunts him to this day.

Chilwell’s market value in 2024

Unfortunately, fitness issues have also impacted his chances of proving his quality to new boss Mauricio Pochettino, as he’s missed 35 matches through different setbacks.

This means that the number 23 has made just 13 league appearances all campaign, starting nine of those and averaging 58 minutes on the field per game.

The 27-year-old’s most recent start was at the start of March against Brentford, and he was an unused substitute against Brighton & Hove Albion this week, having lost his spot to the ever-improving Marc Cucurella.

Given the sheer number of injuries Chilwell has had to deal with since his arrival, it’s not a surprise to see that his current value has decreased dramatically, to the point where he’s now estimated to be worth just £13m today, as per CIES’ Football Observatory.

For context, the former Fox is valued three times less than the aforementioned Sterling, who still has a current worth of £43m, according to CIES, which highlights just how little of an influence Chilwell has had on the team.

On top of that, it makes Chilwell the joint-lowest valued left-back compared to the Big Six’s positional peer, which proves that Chelsea really didn’t get value for money.

Unfortunately, given his track record of injuries, it’s reasonable to presume that the defender’s value will continue to decrease unless he is able to revive his career.

Furthermore, with his Spanish competitor starting to find his feet at full-back, even assisting against the Seagulls, right now, it's difficult to see Chilwell returning to the side in the near future.

Overall, it’s always saddening to see a player suffer from injuries constantly, but spending £50m on Chilwell has sadly become a howler of a deal.

More names will keep coming to light as well. According to some reports, Chelsea have been offered FC Porto manager Sergio Conceicao through his representative Jorge Mendes, but Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali's shortlist is unlikely to be influenced by agents.

A potential return to Chelsea for Thomas Tuchel has also been reported in the last few days. However, widespread news outlets have since denied the possibility of a reunion with the German, despite Tuchel being open to making a move back to Stamford Bridge.

Ruben Amorim is not currently a frontrunner either. Kieran McKenna is expected to be a leading candidate, but #CFC feel Brighton are further ahead so would need to move fast.

"Brentford’s Thomas Frank, Girona’s Míchel, Newcastle Eddie Howe and Stuttgart’s Sebastian Hoeness have all been discussed."

McKenna could be a particularly interesting option for Boehly and co. The 38-year-old has guided Ipswich to back-to-back promotions, all on a shoestring budget, with the Northern Irishman garnering quite a reputation for himself.

Chelsea chiefs believe McKenna has the skills to replace Pochettino, according to journalist Dean Jones, and apparently the admiration is mutual from his side.

McKenna green-lights Chelsea move with Boehly willing to pay £4 million

According to The Standard and journalist Nick Purewal, McKenna has given the green light for Chelsea to approach him, as it is believed he is keen on taking over from Pochettino ahead of next season.

Ipswich want him to stay and are prepared to offer McKenna a new contract in order to keep him at Portman Road. However, the Tractor Boys boss believes he is ready for that next big step in his career. The newly promoted side could demand north of £4 million in compensation for McKenna if he were to leave, but it is claimed that this hasn't deterred Chelsea in the slightest.

In midfield, Edu is apparently ready to sell Emile Smith Rowe, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah to fund a move for Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes – who could well come in to replace Thomas Partey as uncertainty surrounds the Ghanaian's future.

Gabriel Jesus has also been linked with an Arsenal exit in recent weeks, so Arteta and the board are not exactly short of sale nominees to bolster their kitty this summer. Edu, speaking to the media recently, says the club's summer transfer process has been thought out since January.

"You can’t sign players for the sake of signing," said Edu on Arsenal's transfer plans.

"This has to be a process that takes weeks and weeks. There on my desk, I have reports with more than 180 pages on a player. It’s really detailed stuff. Physical, technical, mental profile, if you have Premier League experience, if you will be able to adapt. It has everything.

"We analyse our weaknesses, where we can improve, where we can invest and then we go in search of that new name. What I am going to do now, we have been discussing since January. It’s not my decision or Mikel’s alone. It belongs to a whole group."

Sturm Graz set to open talks with Arsenal over Mika Biereth this week

Another player who could collect a fee to enhance Arsenal's summer activity is 21-year-old forward Mika Biereth.

The Dane has enjoyed a stellar half-season loan at Sturm Graz over the last few months, scoring nine goals and bagging a further four assists. Called a "prolific goalscorer" by Standard Sport, the outlet claims Sturm Graz are set to open talks over signing Biereth permanently this week.

The young attacker signed from Fulham in 2021, but hasn't yet been handed the nod by Arteta – instead going out on loan to RKC Waalwijk, Motherwell and Sturm Graz during his time at the Emirates.
